Hello.

I’m Laura, a UX design specialists with over 12 years of experience as a creative professional.

I started out in photography and video production, earning a BFA in photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2008. Following graduation, I worked for several years in the photography space. In 2011, I began working for an art-based business incubator, where I took on the role of art director. Since then, I have worked in leadership positions as well as a founder at my own boutique design agency, all the time furthering my knowledge of UX design, branding, and creative direction.

My other interests include spending time with my son and husband, exploring nature, and analog film photography.

Career & Education

  • Lead UX designer and art director for a digital marketing company, based in Erie, Pennsylvania.

    Modernized the internal processes by switching primary design tools from Photoshop to XD and Figma.

    Implemented a better documentation process for hand-off to developers.

    Created a library of reusable components to help streamline the design and development process.

2019 - Present

  • Founded a boutique design agency with my husband. Our primary focus was branding, design, and strategy for consumer product companies.

    We worked with a variety of clients in the B2C space, including kitchen accessories, pet toys, body care, and technology.

2016 - 2019

  • I lead the team in branding efforts for both Mason Jars Company and reCap Mason Jars. This included the development of brand standards, retail product packaging solutions, tradeshow displays, product catalogs, and digital marketing.

    Developed an online, multi-seller marketplace, www.masonjars.com

2014 - 2017

  • Lead a team of three and oversaw organization-wide branding and marketing efforts.

    Provided brand strategy and design services for incubator clients.

    Managed organization production labs, including commercial photography and video studios and design labs.
